SMC816 Transaction Manager - Trustee - Capital Markets

Overview:

Exciting opportunity to join a large, international Non-Banking Financial Institution. The successful candidate will join an established team and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of structured finance transactions. This role will entail liaising with various transaction parties during the setup of transactions and ensuring that the obligations of the Company are reflected in the transaction documents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of note trustee, security trustee and security agent services across a range of asset classes.
  • Reviewing and commenting on transaction documents in accordance with Company standards, to ensure that the trustee is fully protected.
  • Liaising with external counsel to co-ordinate comments on transaction documents.
  • Liaising internal contacts at all levels regarding transactions, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of internal processes and procedures for transactions.
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure that clients / transactions are fully onboarded from a KYC perspective, and that reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with waivers and amendments.
  • Dealing with defaults and/or restructurings of existing transactions, engaging trustee counsel as required.
  • Actively monitoring transactions, liaising/working with compliance team as appropriate.
  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Attending client meetings and relevant networking/market events.
  • Reviewing and ensuring timely settlement of invoices.

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong experience of trustee work - essential.
  • Strong understanding of securitisation and structured finance related transactions.
  • Experience of reviewing securitisation and structured finance related transaction documentation.
  • Experience of reviewing LMA documentation.
  • Experience in defaults and restructurings preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as using own initiative.
