Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Site Engineer for a role with a civil engineering contractor specialising in water and wastewater projects. Role is on a contract basis and would be based on projects in the Yorkshire area.
Ideal candidate would be degree qualified, have EUSR card and have previous experience on water and wastewater projects.
Responsibilities:- Establish the level and survey control for contracts
- Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
- Promote the company rules and establish safe working cultures and practice
- Comply with company procedures and legal obligations
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
- Promote and comply with environmental compliance
- Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with our procurement department to ensure site has adequate resources to complete the tasks
- Comply with company procedures
- Ensure work is delivered defect/snag-free
- Timely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defects
- Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities
- Produce ITPs and Task Briefings
- Produce 2 week look ahead in conjunction with Site Agent
- Production of accurate records, drawing registers and weekly diaries
Experience/qualifications:- Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
- Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments
- Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook Desirable
- Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
- Temporary-works co-ordination
- CSCS card
- Cable avoidance training
- EUSR card
- First aid
Contract role with the possibility of permanent contract depending on performance.
