Role: Electrical Technician
Location: PX St Fergus – Peterhead, Scotland
Permanent Role
Responsibilities
- Provide safe isolation and conduct tool box talks for other disciplines
- Carry out planned maintenance tasks on site electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, UPS systems, HV & LV distributions systems, lighting and electrical actuators.
- Carry out hazardous area inspections on all site electrical equipment.
- Respond to and diagnose faults and trips on site electrical equipment.
- Carry out repair works to faulty electrical equipment.
- Report daily on the site MMS and raise fault work orders for any repairs required.
- Assist with the creation of permits, risk assessments and isolations.
- Review procedures and drawings and ensure any corrections marked up and reported correctly.
- Participate in site behavioural engagement and hazard observation scheme.
Qualifications
- Technical qualification with applicable electrical background - City and Guilds / BTec/NC/ NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation / SJIB (Scotland) / JIB (England)
- IET Wiring Regulations 18th edition
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Emergency First Aid
- COMPEX EX01-EX04
- Electrical Safety & Situational Awareness (preferred)
- HV / LV Switching (preferred)
- Relay Protection (preferred)
