Contract Cloud Security Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Security Specialist on a contract basis for one of our clients in the technology industry based in Cambridgeshire! This is a hybrid position with only 2 days required on site per week.

Location: Cambridgeshire (Hybrid)

Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

Length: 6 months+

The client are looking for an enthusiastic member to help train and mentor some junior members of the team. They need someone to join on a contract for the next 6 months minimum.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Security, Architecture, and Cloud teams to plan and optimise AWS security controls and implement CNAPP capabilities.
• Provide technical security advice and guidance to team members and the wider business.
• Conduct technical assessments to identify cloud security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Implement security measures for cloud-native applications, including container and serverless architectures.
• Establish a sustainable framework for continuous Cloud Security management.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate security controls.
• Enhance security configurations and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Implement standards to safeguard workloads and cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong technical security background with several years in cloud technologies.
• Expertise in cross-cloud security principles and automation.
• Experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, CNAPP, SIEM).
• Solid understanding of IAM, RBAC, and Least Privilege principle.
• Understanding of strategic Cloud Security support models.
