Are you a dedicated and compassionate leader with a passion for providing exceptional care? Elidyr Communities Trust is seeking an experienced House Manager to join our team in Rhandirmwyn.

We support young adults with learning difficulties, autism and disabilities to live and learn more independently creating spaces where individuals thrive and form meaningful connections.
In this role you'll lead the delivery of care and education to residents and learners within the registered care home, enabling the charity to deliver the best possible standards, while ensuring that the service is safe, well-run, efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable long-term.
Our new House Manager will be responsible for continuously improving care and education standards to achieve the best possible outcomes for residents and learners according to their needs and for complying with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) prevailing regulatory standards, as well as meeting commissioner and funders expectations and service requirements.
This position is offered on a 48.6 week term-time contract.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Care
  • Maintain high standards of customer care, including supporting admissions, developing personal plans, conducting regular service user meetings, and attending annual reviews.
  • Ensure residents health and welfare needs are met, managing medication, infection control, and health-related appointments.
  • Promote a culture of co-production and compliance with regulations, including logging and resolving complaints.

Championing the Charity
  • Enhance the charitys reputation with stakeholders by attending key events and building relationships with parents, carers, and professionals.

People Management
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of care staff, ensuring timely appointments and effective induction.
  • Provide operational leadership, maintain staff morale, and conduct regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Manage staffing records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Resource Management
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to manage the house budget, ensuring adequate staffing and supplies.
  • Ensure effective staffing schedules and cover for absences.

Safeguarding & Health & Safety
  • Uphold the charitys safeguarding policies and promote a culture of safety within the care home.
  • Ensure health and safety practices are followed, conducting risk assessments and training staff accordingly.

Quality Assurance
  • Ensure care is provided in accordance with care planning arrangements, addressing audits and inspection requirements.
  • Contribute to the charitys strategic plans and prepare for inspections.

General Responsibilities
  • Adhere to charity policies, commit to professional development, and demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a care environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to person-centred care.
  • Relevant qualifications in care and management (e.g. QCF Level 4 in Care and Management / or working towards).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle budgets, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Passion for working with individuals with additional learning needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
