We are recruiting for an innovative engineering company that serves the Oil & Gas sector in both the UK and overseas markets. Based in Norwich, our client delivers cutting-edge solutions to complex engineering challenges within the industry.


Role Overview:


We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team on a contract basis for approximately 6 months. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining electrical specifications in line with project schedules. This role involves working on topsides electrical design and engineering for both greenfield and brownfield developments, up to 13.8kV.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and engineer electrical systems for topsides projects in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Specify and procure ASD/VSD equipment for downhole pumps
  • Specify and procure transformer equipment for offshore installations
  • Ensure designs adhere to relevant regulations, including NFPA 70/NEC standards
  • Engage in successful client-facing interactions, representing the company with confidence and technical authority


Requirements:


  • HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar industries
  • Expertise in topsides electrical design and engineering, up to 13.8kV
  • Proven experience in specifying/purchasing ASD/VSD equipment and transformer equipment for offshore installations
  • Solid understanding of NFPA 70/NEC standards
  • UK driving license


Contract Details:


  • 6-month contract with hybrid working (3 days per week in the Norwich office)
