Mechanical Site Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the mechanical aspects of a large-scale residential development. The successful candidate will lead the mechanical installation teams on-site, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to project timelines and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the mechanical installations for all phases of a large-scale residential project, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and gas systems.
- Coordinate with other site managers, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee project scheduling, ensuring all mechanical work meets the required deadlines and milestones.
- Ensure all mechanical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Provide on-site technical support and guidance to the mechanical team.
- Liaise with the project management team to report progress, issues, and potential delays.
- Manage material orders, deliveries, and storage of mechanical components.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or similar role in large-scale residential construction projects.
- Proven expertise in mechanical systems installation, including HVAC, plumbing, and gas systems within residential buildings.
- Experience managing large teams and working collaboratively with multiple trades on-site.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and residential construction standards.
- Health & Safety certification (SMSTS or equivalent) is essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve on the go.
- Familiarity with project management software and reporting tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and quality.
