HGV Delivery Driver - Newcastle

Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver required to work on behalf of a local Newcastle based council delivering white goods and furniture across the Newcastle region.

I am looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV driver to drive either a 7.5 or 18 tonne lorry to deliver furniture and white goods across the Newcastle region to tenanted properties.

Work will include aspects of manual handling.

Pay: 13.50 P/H

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Complete deliveries accurately using electronic stock systems
• Unpack goods and connect appliances where necessary
• Maintain vehicles by completing daily checks
• 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday

I am really keen in speaking to anyone who has:

• A full, clean Category C+E licence (Or hold a category C licence and be prepared to work towards this).
• Experience of delivering furniture and or white goods to customer s homes.
• A current digital tachograph card
• A CPC card and work within the driver s hours and working time regulations
• The ability to undertake Manual Handling including household furniture
