EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering company located in Sheffield, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, DBS checks will be required. Our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

Key Benefits on offer:

• Circa £18 - £19 per hour
• 4-day working week on a day shift - Monday to Thursday (06:30 - 16:15)
• Overtime is available at x 1.3 after 37 hours- Monday to Friday, x 1.5 Saturday and x 2.0 Sunday
• 27 days holiday including Bank Holidays (pro-rata) with the opportunity to buy or sell additional days

Your responsibilities include:

• Programming, Setting, and Operating multi-axis CNC Milling and CNC Turning machines
• Machining large-sized components of small batch sizes using various materials
• Machining to tight tolerances
• Working off both Metric and Imperial engineering drawings

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

• Candidates must be apprentice trained
• Must be able to set and operate both CNC Milling and Turning Machines
• Experience in programming or editing programs is required for the role
• Comfortable working on larger components of small batch sizes
• Previously machined complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil, and gas, etc
• Experience with machining to tight tolerances
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings both in Metric and Imperial

Desirable:

• Previous experience Milling using Siemens controls
• Previous experience Turning using Mitsubishi controls
• Overhead Crane usage
