Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance
Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
Supervise students during break times and off-site activities
Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher
Collaborate with other teaching assistants and school staff to create a supportive learning environment
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Required Qualifications:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
Prior experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role
Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
Knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of SEN support strategies
Proficient in providing reading and writing support
Excellent behavioural management skills
Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
Familiarity with KS1 and KS2 curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) support
Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
