The Chief People Officer (CPO) will be responsible for leading the overall people strategy and HR functions, ensuring that the company attracts, develops and retains top talent. The CPO will work closely with the CEO and other executive leaders to foster a positive and inclusive company culture, align HR initiatives with business goals, and drive organisational effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy using data-driven insights to ensure alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • Partner with the executive team to provide strategic input on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Lead the HR team in delivering high-impact HR programs and services that support the company's growth and scalability.
  • Support M&A activities by providing due diligence on people-related aspects, including talent assessment, cultural alignment, and organisational structure.
  • Develop and execute integration plans to ensure smooth transitions and alignment of people strategies post-acquisition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage change and communication during M&A processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Oversee the recruitment process to attract and hire top talent across all levels of the organisation.
  • Develop retention strategies to ensure high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employer branding and position the company as an employer of choice.
  • Create and implement comprehensive learning and development programs to support employee growth and career advancement.
  • Develop and manage performance management systems and processes that drive high performance and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and professional development.
  • Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure compensation practices are equitable and aligned with industry standards.
  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Using data driven insights, lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement.


More about you:


  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role (preferably in a SaaS or technology company) with the ability to influence at all levels and drive change in a scaling business
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance in the UK.
  • Proven experience with M&A activity and managing multiple stakeholders including investors
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing people strategies that drive business results.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive leaders and investors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform HR decisions and present at Board level
  • Passion for fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
