Social Worker - Full-Time, Permanent 45,000 - 48,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established Family Assessment Centre in Hendon, London, is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and multi-agency teams to improve family outcomes, focusing on safeguarding children and empowering families to thrive independently. Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
- Manage complex court cases involving child protection investigations.
- Coordinate and chair meetings, produce concise reports, and engage effectively with children and their families.
- Ensure all interventions prioritize child welfare and family support, making decisions in line with statutory guidelines.
- Promote a safe and positive environment that upholds the values of social care.
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification and HCPC registration with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience managing complex children and family cases, particularly in court proceedings and child protection.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and children's social care theory, legislation, and practices.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis and professional judgment.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet operational demands, including emergencies.
- A valid DBS check and UK work authorization.
- Must be able to safely transport children and families when required.
