Purchase Ledger Assistant
Fresh People are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our clients finance team within a Fresh produce operation based in the Maidstone area of Kent . In this role you will support the Finance Team in maintaining efficient financial operations and ensuring accurate processing of invoices.
The Candidate
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar financial administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely invoice processing.
- IT Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input purchase invoices into the system and assist the Finance Assistant with approval processes.
- Set up new suppliers and manage supplier statements.
- Handle the daily arrivals process and monthly employee expenses.
- Process Credit Control, sending out account statements, and following up on any overdue amounts older than 30 days.
- Ensure no outstanding amounts exceed 60 days.
- Provide cover and support for other members of the finance team when required.
- Communicate effectively with line managers to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to company communication and finance standards.
