Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

A London headquartered multi strat hedge fund are looking to add an experienced Cloud Engineer to join them after a period of sustained growth. The fund are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years experience within financial services who as hands on experience of Azure cloud infrastructure.

The role will require the individual to maintain and enhance existing Azure Cloud infrastructure as well as playing a key role in the businesses migration to Azure cloud solution. Daily duties will involve:

• Maintaining and monitoring a highly available and complex Azure Cloud infrastructure.
• Performing daily system monitoring.
• Repairing and recovery after server and software failures.
• Proactively identifying issues and suggesting solutions and improvements.
• Provide some end user support including VIP support.
• Manage software and update deployments.
• Improve processes with use of automation tools.

Candidates from broad backgrounds within financial services will be considered but previous experience working in a hedge fund is highly sort after as is any previous experience on migration projects. Profiles must demonstrate a high level technical understanding of:

• Azure cloud computing concepts and design.
• E365 / Office 365 / Teams / OneDrive / SharePoint.
• Azure AD/Entra ID and knowledge of networking principles.
• Deploying resources with IaC (Terraform) techniques, using PS/CLI/ARM templates.
• SCCM.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Intune policies and device management, iOS/Android.
• Powershell and Terraform scripting.
• HyperV server.
• SQL Server.
• Failover Clustering, High Availability and Disaster Recovery techniques.
• Cloud DR solutions.
• Networking switch administration and PaloAlto firewall.
• Azure Kubernetes / containers.
• DevOps work practices, pipelines, git control.
