My client is a leading supplier for products into the medical and ambulance markets in the UK. Due to progression they now require a Head of Sales and marketing, (capital S small m focus). The role is effectively a general sales manager and is based onsite in Telford 5 days per week. It is expected customer visits will only be 2 to 3 days per month.

The role comes with responsibility for for a substancial P&L and 6 direct sales reports plus a marketing specialist.

The Role

• To continue and develop growth stategies based around target sales and profit metrics.
• Lead, mentor and manage the sales team.
• Analysis of sales data to identify trends and opportunities
• Develop and execute marketing plans and budgets
• Nurture the customer-centric culture
• Colaborate with other departments such as purchasing and customer support.
• Reporting to group sales director

The ideal candidate

• Degree qualified
• Having held a general manager / senior sales manager people managing role previously.
• Experience managing a small sales team, both internal and external.
• Ideally but not necessarily from a medical product background
• Within 1 hour commute of Telford
• Experience (light) of marketing and digital marketing.
• Highly motivated and self driven
