VP of Risk

We are partnering with a leading account-to-account payment provider, headquartered in London with operations in Germany, to help them find their next VP of Risk and Compliance Job Title: Vice President of Risk and Compliance Location: Remote (UK or European-based) Salary: £125,000 - £150,000 per annum (plus benefits) Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities Lead the management and implementation of the company’s payments risk and governance strategy across UK (FCA) and EU (BaFin) regulated businesses. Establish and oversee a comprehensive regulatory compliance function, including managing the three lines of defense and ensuring mitigation plans are on track. Manage the enterprise risk registers, implementing effective controls and ensuring ongoing risk mitigation. Stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain active communication with the FCA and BaFin as required. Experience Minimum 7 years experience in the risk & compliance function at a payments business Minimum 3 years experience overseeing the risk & compliance team Knowledge of both UK and German payments regulation, laws, and AML requirements including PSD2, the Payments Services Act (ZAG), money laundering regulations and other associated regulations Demonstrated experience in taking a proactive, hands-on approach to risk management and actively implementing strategies.
