Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN & PSHE Teacher to join our team, providing targeted tuition in the Haringey area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work after school hours, supporting students' personal and social development in a 1:1 or small group setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Haringey
- Start Date: Immediate start
- Hourly Rate: 40 per hour
- Work Schedule: After school hours (flexible schedule)
- Contract: Part-time, hourly-paid position
- Subjects: Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education, with a focus on SEN students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored PSHE lessons that engage and support SEN students in a meaningful way.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with students to help them develop key life skills, confidence, and independence.
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents/carers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN in a teaching or tutoring capacity.
- Strong knowledge of PSHE curriculum and experience in adapting it to suit various learning needs.
- Ability to manage behaviour and support emotional well-being.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential, but teaching experience is a must.
