Desktop and Endpoint Engineer - International Law Firm

Job Title: Desktop and Endpoint Engineer

Location: Stunning office close to Liverpool St

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a dedicated Desktop and Endpoint Engineer to join the dynamic IT team of one of our prestigious, international law firm clients. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining and optimizing the desktop/workstations and endpoint infrastructure, including laptops, desktops, VDI, and mobile devices.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain endpoint patching and provisioning systems using SCCM, Intune, and MDT.
• Oversee virtual desktop infrastructure in AzureVDI/Citrix.
• Develop scripts and PowerShell applications to automate system admin tasks.
• Package and deploy software for new releases, projects, and troubleshooting.
• Act as the 3rd line engineering escalation point and collaborate with Architecture & Engineering and Local IT Support teams.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies to meet business needs.
• Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, including security and disaster recovery.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other business applications.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.
• 3+ years of experience in implementing and designing enterprise-class technologies.
• Certifications in Desktop Infrastructure technology (SCCM, Intune, Office365, AzureVDI, Citrix), Mobile Device Management, and advanced knowledge of MS Enterprise suite and Windows Server Roles/Features.
• Strong PowerShell and scripting abilities.
• Experience with IP structure, VLANs, and standard networking.
• Participation in an on-call rotation requiring 24-hour availability.
