General Counsel

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of an established education provider based in Buckinghamshire. They are seeking a General Counsel to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be expected to provide advice on all legal matters that arise, including commercial contracts and agreements, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing matters. You will also lead the legal services team, encouraging high performance and fostering a positive work environment.

To apply you will be:

• A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales and holding a current practising certificate – please note the client is unable to accept applications from foreign-qualified lawyers for this role
• Able to advise on a broad range of commercial matters, with at least 5 years’ experience working for another education provider
• Comfortable to lead and build positive working relationships with the existing legal services team
• Able to commute to the office in Buckinghamshire on a hybrid basis

The salary is offered at £100,000 per annum.
