Job Title: Estimator

Location: Pudsey

Salary: up to £50k

Hours of Work: 40 Hours Monday Friday

Type: Permanent

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

A specialist interiors contractor with a growing reputation in the market now require an Estimator to join their busy pre-construction team.

Duties

• Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work
• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
• Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates
• Analyse and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Maintain records of estimates, including quantities, costs, and sources
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure cost control

It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;

• Proven 8 years experience as an Estimator in the construction industry and have worked for another SME
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in estimating software is desirable
• A degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is advantageous
