About the Role:
Our client Royal Mail is seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer with an electrical bias. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our sites through regular planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including working at height, managing legionella risks, and performing general maintenance duties to ensure our facilities are safe and functional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete electrical and mechanical PPM tasks, ensuring all work meets health and safety standards.
• Perform plumbing repairs and general maintenance tasks as required.
• Carry out duties related to electrical systems, with an emphasis on 18th Edition compliance.
• Manage legionella prevention measures and conduct routine checks.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient service delivery across all Royal Mail sites.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or a similar trade is desirable. 18th Edition certification is required.
• Experience: Strong electrical skills with a good understanding of mechanical and plumbing tasks. Familiarity with working at height and managing legionella risks is essential.
• Licenses: MEWP/PASMA certification is highly desirable. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites.
