AAT Trainee

AAT Trainees! Wise Employment are looking for AAT Trainees to join a fantastic accountancy firm here in Plymouth! This opportunity is working Monday Friday, with 36.25 working week. Some of your working hours will be put aside for your studying when undertaking your paper exams and classroom training.

This fantastic opportunity for someone who has finished or will be finishing their A-levels, University degree or simply wants to retrain and start a new career. During your time as a trainee you will undertake your studies, where you will be supported by senior members of staff including Partners and Directors. As well as undertaking your studies you will get first-hand experience with Tax documentation, such as HMRC compliance and tax returns.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need:

• Great analytical and numerical skills
• A positive attitude, and be able to work in a team as well as independently
• To Resilient, able to work on multiple projects at once.
• To be able to take the initiative, and get on with work that is given to you
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• A strong interest in Tax.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy, and an eye for detail.
• Ability to learn new IT skills quickly.

Please note, As the role requires the ability to study and pass formal exams, you will need a strong academic track record in obtaining qualifications often indicated by strong results in GCSE s, A-levels (or equivalent), however other academic history will also be considered.
