Working within the Operations Team and reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Radio Engineer will take responsibility for allocated work including repairs, diagnostics, planned maintenance inspection at customer locations and installation of equipment at customer sites across the UK as well as providing support to projects.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding and experience with electrical engineering down to component level and have experience working on digital / analogue radio hardware.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Main duties:

Repairing and diagnosing RF equipment.

Working on radio sets down to component level following circuit diagrams as required.

Handling customer enquiries relating to repairs and or technical enquiries.

RF hardware installations, antenna and systems.

Supporting the wider engineering team with day-to-day tasks relating to projects.

Following set procedures as required and suggesting improvements to the processes.

Essential Skills/Requirements

Strong background in an engineering/installation role related to either digital or analogue radios. Please note we require the successful candidate to have strong bench engineering skills such as soldering etc and working with electronic components backed up with demonstrated experience and/or qualifications.

The ability to work in a structured manor with a disciplined work ethic.

A clean UK driving license – you can expect to travel the UK and very occasionally internationally with this role.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks to increase productivity.

The ability to work as part of a wider organisational team.

Fluent in English.

Be able to pass a full enhanced disclosure (DBS).

Hours: 08:00 -16:00 Mon-Thu, 08:00-16:00 Fri.

Holiday: 23 days plus statutory bank holidays.

Salary expectations: £31k-£42K commensurate with experience.

Location: Crawley, RH6

Start date: Immediate, however willing to wait for required notice period.
