Vehicle Movements Planner
Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle Movements Planner to join their growing team. This role involves managing multiple vehicle movements daily, ensuring the smooth operation of a busy yard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily vehicle movements for collections, deliveries, MOTs, servicing, and repairs.
- Manage a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and 40 trailers, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of cleanliness.
- Collaborate with the MOT Coordinator to meet monthly MOT targets.
- Oversee and support a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with driving regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment.
- Liaise with internal teams and customers to ensure vehicle requests are fulfilled on time.
- Plan driver resources effectively to minimize reliance on third-party agencies.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner.
- Experience in leading and motivating a small team would be highly beneficial
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of UK route planning and driving legislation.
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- Full UK driving license (HGV qualification preferred but not essential).
Additional Details:
- Salary: 35,000 - 38,000 (depending on experience).
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
- Full-time, permanent role: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm (45 hours/week).
- Participation in Saturday rotas as required - overtime paid.
