Group Accountant

Venari Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with our key global client in Glasgow to recruit a Group Accountant on a 6 month fixed term contract.

The role will report directly into the Group Finance Manager and will be part of a high performing head office finance function. The role will help support the group function through year end and will be primarily focused on statutory reporting responsibilities. The position incorporates a blend of statutory accounting, management reporting and analysis requiring interaction with the other Head Office teams, operational and divisional finance teams, the Group Financial Controller and external auditors.

Role Overview:

• External and internal reporting together with related analytical review.
• Key involvement in the statutory accounts process at year end including analysis and evaluation of financial information;
• Reporting of key financial information and preparation of material for reporting to the City at year end.
• Preparation, analytical review and challenge of relevant sections of forecast and monthly management information

Candidate Background:

• Qualified accountant CA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 2 years PQE
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Experience of group management reporting, preferably at FTSE350 with multiple currencies
• Experience of subsidiary statutory accounts and Group statutory reporting
• Understanding of statutory disclosures, plc reporting and other compliance requirements

Package on offer:

• £55,000- £65,000
• 50% hybrid working
