Plant Supervisor (Ref 13102)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Gateshead readymix concrete plant. This role is fast-paced, dynamic and extremely varied role. As the Plant Supervisor you will supervise and operate a busy ready-mix concrete batch plant in Gateshead ensuring both the fixed and mobile plant is operated safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• To comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and standards.
• Production of RMX concrete as per QSRMC requirements and internal Quality Procedures.
• Carry out pre start checks to both fixed and mobile plant and report defects accordingly using internal systems.
• Ensuring the timely delivery of incoming raw materials. (Aggregates, admixtures, cements)
• Completing weekly and monthly stock checks.
• Induct all haulier drivers, visitors & customers coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are complied with at all times.
• A hands on approach working with contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties and site improvements.
• A flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential.
• Ensure completion of all KPI's and update as an when required
• Must be computer literate in the use of Google Drive, G Mail, JD Edwards, Powerpoint, Google Excel and Word.
• Supervisor experience is a must.
• Experience in operating mobile plant, ideally a Front-end loading shovel
