Senior Technical Manager (Electrical)

Randstad CPE are working with a national FM provider and we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager (Electrical bias) to join their team in the Glasgow area.

What You'll Do:

• Provide formal supervision to employees.
• Monitor the training and development of staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Schedule and manage the team's daily activities.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines.
• Mentor and coach as needed.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.

Qualifications

• Recognised Trade apprenticeship or level 3 NVQ in a trade
• Full Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology or equivalent
• Has been an SAP in one of the following disciplines:
• High Voltage
• Confined Spaces
• Pressure Systems
• Good customer relationship building skills
• Conversant with Microsoft Office
• Must be able to attend site in the event of emergency and provide guidance to staff in the event ofemergencies.
• Availability to attend site at weekends for planned building shutdowns

Preferred

• ILM 3 certificate or above
• Proven team leadership skills
• IOSH/Nebosh qualification
• Have previously been appointed as an Authorising Engineer
