Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Facilities Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities and supporting compliance activities. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across all our Telford properties through both preventative and corrective maintenance work, as well as managing contractors and offering practical solutions for business improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the department with maintenance activities, including Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and corrective work.
- Assist in resolving machine issues and breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER & PUWER regulations, including crane servicing and statutory inspections.
- Perform general repairs to buildings, such as lighting, drainage, and toilet facilities.
- Oversee and manage maintenance tasks across all Telford properties.
- Manage contractors, including issuing Permits to Work and overseeing their activities.
- Provide cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and add value to the business.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified craftsperson with relevant certification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-skilled disciplines).
- Experience working in a maintenance environment, including managing contractors.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintaining adherence to PPM schedules.
- Prior experience working in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Proven experience in equipment specification, diagnostics, systems integration, and maintenance coordination.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees, customers, and suppliers.
- MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) experience is preferable.
