About the role

We are seeking an experienced Garment Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pattern Cutting, sewing line configuration, and Quality Control (QC) within the garment industry. This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be liaising between the production and development teams in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our garment production processes.


Responsibilities

  • Liaise between production and development teams to communicate technical requirements and resolve any issues that may arise

  • Product Specification creation – currently using Excel and Adobe Illustrator
  • Create product BoM’s, routings and costings.
  • Conduct sewing line configuration to optimize production efficiency.
  • Define sample requirements for production orders with sub-contractors & create garment marker


Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Previous experience within industrial sewing lines, with a strong understanding of garment production processes.
  • Proficiency in pattern cutting and sewing line configuration.
  • Experience conducting time studies for garment production processes.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new products and processes.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator

Experience preferred:

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Experience with garment CAD packages
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for managing production processes.
  • Background working with specialist technical clothing

Education required:

  • BA Fashion Design or Fashion technology
  • 5 years proven experience within garment manufacturing or garment design
