This role is crucial in driving sales by optimising product presentations, maintaining data accuracy, and crafting compelling product descriptions that resonate with customers.

Key responsibilities:

Visual Merchandising:

  • Manage and update homepage banners, product collection pages, and promotional graphics to align with current campaigns and seasonal trends.
  • Regularly refresh product listings to feature bestsellers, new arrivals, and seasonal items.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all visual elements on the website.

Product Creation & Setup:

  • Oversee and assist in accurately setting up new products in the eCommerce platforms (Brightpearl, Shopify, etc.), including assigning SKUs, inputting product descriptions, and uploading images.
  • Work closely with buyers and the purchasing team to gather and refine product information, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and compelling.
  • Format and import product data into systems like FileMaker, ensuring consistency and proper categorization.

Product Information Management:

  • Maintain and update product data, including pricing, descriptions, images, and meta fields, ensuring that all product information is accurate and optimised for SEO.
  • Monitor and improve product descriptions to enhance searchability, appeal, and conversion rates.
  • Ensure product images meet quality standards and are consistent with the brand’s visual identity.

Data Accuracy & Routine Checks:

  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that all product data, including prices and inventory levels, are accurate across all platforms.
  • Manage and monitor tags, SKUs, and inventory status, ensuring discontinued items are archived and not displayed on the site.
  • Regularly check for and resolve any discrepancies between systems (e.g., Brightpearl and Shopify).

Live Product Management:

  • Manage and update Tags such as "New In" products, ensuring they are prominently featured and changed.
  • Archive discontinued or out-of-stock items in both Shopify and Brightpearl, coordinating with the store and warehouse teams for necessary actions.
  • Assist customer service and warehouse teams with product queries, resolving product data and availability issues.

Pricing & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee pricing updates from suppliers, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all platforms.
  • Monitor discounted prices during pricing changes, recalculating variant pricing as needed.
  • Ensure that product bundles, variants, and options (e.g., colours, sizes) are correctly set up and displayed.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, purchasing, and customer service teams to align product offerings and visual merchandising with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to obtain additional product information and resolve any setup issues.

Performance Analysis:

  • Analyse the impact of product descriptions, visuals, and merchandising activities on sales performance, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitor website analytics to identify opportunities for optimising product placement, visual merchandising, and customer engagement.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in eCommerce, product management, or visual merchandising, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
