Brief Overview:

We provide integrated front to back-office services to investment managers and financial institutions. We are offering covers the full investment life-cycle, including portfolio management technology, risk services, operations, treasury and regulatory reporting.

We employ approx. 190 staff, with offices in London, Hong Kong and Connecticut. Led by a team of highly experienced finance professionals across multiple disciplines and are highly regarded across the industry for its trading analytics and operational robustness.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and negotiation of vendors. Manage the day-to-day sourcing, renewals, negotiation and vendor relationship management tasks for all functions with a focus on technology areas.
  • Contract Lifecycle management tool (gateway). Own and derive insights from CLM to drive vendor efficiency, and quality outcomes. Ensure data is accurate and up to date at any point.
  • Cost management. Drive cost savings across >$20m budget. Assess vendor universe and cost base across price (unit cost) * volume (usage). Drive reductions through negotiating price down (unit cost and volume discounts), working with business to optimize volume (aggregate for scale and minimize usage). Manage costs on an ongoing basis.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of data initiatives. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to his/her peers in the leadership team.
  • Financial management. Work within Finance and relevant leads to compile the current and target operating technology model and cost structure for budgets purposes and run period forecasts alongside the Financial planning and analysis team.
  • Market data. Work closely with the market data team and help with procurement of market data and tracking these within overall Non-staff costs.
  • Establishing procurement discipline. Create procurement discipline including a policy, work with snr leadership to drive adherence, and create efficient governance and reporting.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of post-qualified experience including an experience in third party contract negotiation.
  • Previous experience in the Technology industry is required.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Experience having led strategic cost reviews across tech and non-tech costs, ideally with some exposure to market data providers.
  • Budgetary and FPA experience including a bottom-up budget.
  • Strong procurement experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end P2P process
  • Negotiation, cost-reduction and vendor management expertise
  • Business partnership and Stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced excel skills
  • Experience of working with market data providers
  • IT Category Management experience
  • Financial Services industry experience
