H&S Manager (Construction)

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with this specialist Construction Contractor to recruit for a Health & Safety Manager to join their team
This privately owned Contractor is a leading name across Construction, and works predominantly in the Commercial sector of the Industry

Based from their Head Office in Greater Manchester, you will be an experienced Health & Safety leader with proven experience working in a H&S Management position for Construction businesses previously

Typical projects values are from 500k to potentially 10m and these are traditional D&B contracts

Reporting to the Senior Leadership team, your responsibility as the H&S Manager will be to have complete accountability and ownership of the H&S function within the business, whilst leading a positive H&S culture throughout the business

You'll provide H&S knowledge and support across their live construction sites, which will be at times across the UK, so the odd night away will be required to be able to support some of their far-reaching sites. You will be supporting the site teams with audits, RAMS, H&S support, policies and procedures and support all stakeholders with best practice

You must be a strong and credible H&S professional and have the ability to lead and influence, and drive a robust H&S culture and strategy in the business
