Location/Hybrid: Newcastle/2-3 days on site

Hours: Full-time Mon-Fri

Contract length: 3 months

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Revit Technician to join an exciting new project with the Substation division of Balfour Beatty based in Newcastle


Key Accountabilities

  • Building models for substations
  • Building new workflows
  • Build and manage collaborative models for live projects, working closely with project teams and Engineering Managers.
  • Work closely with other teams to incorporate digital models and other inputs into federated models.
  • Create drawing and model outputs in line with Clients Digital requirements.
  • Develop the current software and investigate new software/processes to improve efficiency and output.
  • Deliver training and manage training matrix - create a team competent and capable of producing various drawing and model outputs.
  • Manage project models through BIM360 Collaboration and Coordination modules.
  • Manage clash detection processes ensuring they align to project specific requirements.
  • Investigate and develop how models can be used to aid the project such as through Augmented and Virtual reality.



Experience required

  • Proven experience of Autodesk Revit (Structural or Architectural).
  • Previous experience experience working on large scale projects such as HS2, power transmission or substations
  • Working knowledge of Autocad.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks.
  • Experience in developing GAs & details from Engineers Drawings and Site measurements.
