Cover Supervisor

Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Telford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of education during teacher absences by supervising and engaging students in pre-set work.

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
• Ensure students stay on task with pre-set activities
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Implement the school's behavior policies effectively
• Provide support to students where necessary and address any immediate issues or concerns
• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership as required

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic school environment
• A positive attitude and a commitment to student welfare and achievement
• Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo training (e.g., degree, TA qualification, etc.)

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• First Aid training
