Senior Estimator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to support major highways projects across the UK. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing the tender process, and working closely with various teams to ensure competitive and viable bids for National Highways contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for highways projects.
• Manage tender submissions and provide pricing documents.
• Identify project risks and develop cost solutions.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes.
• Maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Provide guidance to junior estimators.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in highways/infrastructure.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of National Highways standards (e.g. DMRB, MCHW).
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Causeway) and MS Excel.
• Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
