The Role

As a MySQL SME you will manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently. In the role you will maintain the MySQL databases servers including security, back-up, reporting and recovery procedures. You will also perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for all functions associated with maintenance of MySQL databases servers including security, back-up, reporting and recovery procedures.
• Install, configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout, migration and upgrades.
• Implementation and release of database.
• Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes like Change Request / Incident / Service Request, track issues, and document changes.
• Troubleshooting Database Crash.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• Have hands-on experience supporting MySQL Server, Strong analytical skills for problem solving database related issues, Troubleshooting & Performance tuning.
• Thorough knowledge of data security Setup and Configuration of High availability concepts like Replication, Cluster, Group Replication.
• Strong understanding of DR Drill activity
• Need to know on how to create Incidents, change request, Service request and perform the RCA for problem ticket.
