FX Dealer – Global Markets, Belfast
My client, a domestic retail and commercial bank, are looking for an FX Dealer to join their Global Markets team in Belfast. This opportunity would suit an energetic and ambitious professional with a keen interest in financial markets and the personality and drive to succeed in a client-facing role. This is a Belfast-based hybrid opportunity with a highly regarded Irish bank.
Responsibilities
- Support trade execution and processing: Assist in executing and booking trades across various asset classes, foreign exchange (FX), fixed income and derivatives, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
- Monitor financial markets: Continuously track global market movements, economic data, and key financial indicators to provide timely insights and support senior traders in executing informed trading strategies.
- Collaborate on client orders: Work with sales teams to manage and execute client orders, ensuring smooth trade execution and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and counterparties.
- Prepare trading reports and analysis: Generate daily market summaries, performance reports, and trade analytics for internal use, helping senior management and risk teams assess market positions and profitability.
Requirements
- Relevant degree qualification in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in a similar role within financial markets, such as trading, treasury, or risk management.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in trade execution and reporting.
- Keen interest in financial markets, with a solid understanding of market dynamics, economic indicators, and global financial trends.
- Well-organized and able to work under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
