About the Company -

Our client is a leading UK-based real estate advisory company specialising in the operational living sector. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to bring in a director of property management accounts. They operate with a strong focus on innovation, offering digital solutions to simplify property management for Right to Manage companies, leaseholders, and freeholders. They currently have over £15 billion worth of assets under management and emphasise transparency and the implementation of sustainability initiatives.


Role Overview -

The Director of Property Management Accounts will oversee the financial operations related to their property management services, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, reporting, and service charge management. The role requires strategic oversight of all financial aspects of managed properties, while working closely with various internal teams (legal, asset management, and building surveying) and external stakeholders like property owners, leaseholders, and RTM companies.


Key Responsibilities -

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of annual accounts for both residential and commercial properties, in line with RICS guidelines and legal requirements. Oversee service charge budgeting and reconciliation, providing full transparency to leaseholders and landlords.
  • Service Charge Compliance: Ensure all service charge accounts adhere to relevant legislation such as the Landlord and Tenant Act, with strict compliance to audit and certification requirements.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary financial contact for property owners and leaseholders, ensuring excellent service delivery, resolving queries related to service charges, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the property management accounts team, fostering professional growth while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Drive the use of digital tools like Ringley’s BlockCare platform to streamline financial processes, improve service transparency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Work with the legal team to ensure all financial processes, including tax filings and reserve fund management, are in full compliance with UK law and industry standards?.


Qualifications -

  • Proven experience in property management accounting, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Relevant accounting degree would be preferred but not essential.
