We have an exciting opportunity to join the Field Service Engineering team with one of the world s leading providers of automated warehouse solutions !

As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for contracted maintenance and repair of state of the art equipment including material handling and storage retrieval systems at client sites across the UK that vary in size and complexity.

Acting as the face of the company you will be providing technical and problem-solving expertise while ensuring all systems are running smoothly while confidently working independently taking ownership of issues seeing them through to completion, there will be times when you are supporting and integrating with the resident site team so you will need to be a strong communicator.

You will need to have a flexible approach to working hours but where possible scheduled work is planned a month in advance but can often be subject to change, you will be paid door to door and you will be required to be on call 1 in 3 weeks.

An Electrical Bias is a must for this position and a clean full UK Drivers Licence as you will be covering sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities for a FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
  • Mechanically; Reading assembly drawings, stripping and re-assembling with hand tools.
  • Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Strong working knowledge of Siemens PLC S5 & S7
  • Experience with variable speed invertors and components
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Service and repair of equipment on site
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
  • Ability to write breakdown reports
  • Strong communicator
Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
  • MINIMUM BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electrical Engineering qualification
  • A solid understanding of PLC s and Hardware faults
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
  • Confident Computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
  • Self Motivated and Ability to
  • HNC/HND would also be desirable.

  • Salary £53,529 includes shift and on call allowance
