Are you an experienced risk management professional looking for a dynamic leadership role in Capital Markets? I am seeking a Senior Risk Manager to take the lead for fostering risk awareness, managing risk controls, and advising on strategic decisions for our Capital Markets products and services at one of our leading clients.
6 month contract and an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate monthly forums to promote open discussions on inherent risks, risk profile changes, and mitigation strategies.
- Identify high-risk areas, highlight key controls, and present control gaps to senior stakeholders.
- Support the development of risk frameworks, enhanced standards, and procedural documentation to mitigate business risks.
- Lead forums to review, challenge, and document changes to Capital Markets product offerings, including new products, enhancements, and process changes.
- Act as a trusted advisor, fostering an open dialogue with business partners on risk-related issues.
- Serve as the liaison between the business unit and second-line risk and compliance functions.
- Represent the Risk function on Steering Committees and Working Groups.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative team player with independent decision-making capabilities.
- A proactive, inquisitive, and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide multiple business units.
- Several years of experience in financial services, particularly in operational risk, controls, or audit.
- In-depth knowledge of audit, risk, and operational management concepts, with the ability to assess the impact of business decisions and identify potential risks.
- Expertise in advising management and business units with confidence.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets or a related business area.
