Social Worker (Family and Children Services)

Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Social Worker (Family and Children Services) to join their team based in London.

JOB DETAILS

• PAY RATE: £35 - £38.50 per hour
• WORK TYPE: Temporary
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: London

JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker is responsible to work in a Children and Families service. Undertake responsibility for Child protection, Children being looked after by the Local authority, Children and the courts, work with children in need and their families.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Working alone and with others on complex child related cases.
• Participate in duty system, regular supervision and team meetings.
• Keep case recordings accurate and up to date in a factual and informative style.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Recognised professional Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/Post Graduate Diploma/Social Work fast track qualifying programme)
• Current Social Work England registration
• Experience of working with children and families.
• Must have experience and understanding of child protection and statutory child care work. If newly-qualified you must have undertaken a relevant placement.
