My client is recruiting for a new Finance Assistant role in Gatwick.
Description
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaise with other departments to gather financial information and resolve issues
Profile
- Intermediate/Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Previous experience arranging travel for a large organisation
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation with tact and with a high level of cultural sensitivity
- The ability to multitask - dealing with competing requests in a confident manner, weighing up urgency and deadlines to decide on priorities and advising managers when they can expect their work if unable to process promptly.
- A flexible approach with a willingness to make a contribution to the wider team.
- Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant is preferred.
- May be working towards an Accountancy degree.
