Design Technician Steelwork - Bristol

CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Design Technician Steel Work in Bristol. The designer will work within the IMS/CAD team providing support for CAD engineering tools (AVEVA ENGINEERING, E3D & DRAW, PDMS & DRAFT, and DIAGRAMS). The designer be responsible for file and script management and configuration of the CAD resources as part of the IMS tasks.

Location: Bristol

Contract/Permanent:Contract Inside IR35

Key Duties will include:

Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3, ETC-C and internal guidance, under the authority of a senior CAD Lead.

• Liaising with the building layout and Civil teams to coordinate the design,
• Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the SW design,
• Working with the SW engineers in the preparation of the design drawings/models,
• Reporting progress in team meeting

Requirements:

• Use of Tekla
• Design office experience
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
• Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous
• Knowledge of 3D tools, and capability to produce high quality 2D drawings
• Previous experience in SW design
• Knows how to deal with the design and layout constraints
