Job Description:
We are seeking a recent graduate with a passion for digital marketing and a self-driven attitude to join our team as a Digital Marketing Assistant. This individual will assist the Marketing Manager in executing and optimizing digital marketing strategies and play a key role in growing our digital presence. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and proficient in key digital marketing tools.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, based in our office in Derry, Northern Ireland. We have a hybrid working policy and the role will involve some remote working. All candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK. Unsolicited third party/agency profiles and resumes will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns across various channels (social media, internet, email, etc.)
- Support in crafting SEO-friendly content, including blog posts and social media updates
- Create visually engaging content for digital marketing campaigns using Canva
- Help manage and update the company website through WordPress
- Conduct social listening to monitor and engage with online communities and brand mentions on social media platforms
- Track and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns and suggest improvements
- Assist in maintaining email marketing campaigns (building email lists, creating newsletters, tracking engagement, etc.)
- Perform market research and competitor analysis to support the development of marketing strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Maintain marketing data and performance metrics in Excel for analysis and reporting
Requirements:
- Recent university graduate with a degree in Marketing or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using Canva for content creation preferred
- Familiarity with WordPress (or willingness to learn)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (particularly LinkedIn)
- Good knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other digital marketing tools
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact
