Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on project management, design, and implementation. You will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative engineering solutions for various infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Prepare and review detailed designs and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Utilize Microdrainage and Civil 3D software for drainage design and civil engineering projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, planners, and contractors.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to designs and specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Prepare project reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress regularly.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably within the UK.
- Proficiency in Microdrainage and Civil 3D software.
- Strong understanding of design standards, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it is desirable.
