Salary – up to £75,000

Yoh have partnered with a scaling business looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer, for a business who design and manufacture cutting-edge environmental sensors across multiple sectors such as marine, agriculture, and defense.

Due to expansion and increase in projects, they are seeking talented individuals to join their team as a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. Within this position you'll develop next-generation instruments and systems, working with a dedicated team on advanced optical and acoustic instrumentation recognized globally for its quality and performance.

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, your key responsibilities would include overseeing the mechanical design activities within the business and be able to support the director of engineering in preparation, planning and development of design projects.

Due to the primary nature of the work they are looking for someone local to the Farnborough/Hampshire area, who can attend the office when needed, with most employees working on-site, however they can offer a range of flexibility depending on the candidate and situation.

Technical Skills Required:

• Comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines and a high level of design ability.
• Experience of collaborating or leading & developing a design team in a high technology engineering environment. It is great to have interpersonal and communication skills set to effectively lead and manage a team.
• A number of years’ experience working as a design engineer in a high technology engineering environment

For this position, Security Clearance will be applied so eligibility to gain SC will be necessary!
