Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

My Client a leading UK steel stockholder, is experiencing ongoing growth and expansion. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their Rainham, Essex depot.

Job Role:

• Installation, diagnosis, and repair of hydraulic systems
• Installation, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems
• Welding (MIG, ARC), cutting, and fabrication skills
• Fault finding and rectification
• Periodic service and maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
• Flexibility to work paid overtime when necessary
• Basic working hours: 8 am - 5:30 pm, 42.5 hours per week

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
• Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
• Able to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
• Good command of the English language
• Good timekeeping skills
