OBM are currently recruiting for a Instrument Engineer for our client based in Hull on a 2 year contracted basis.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our asset management systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Asset Management: Take full ownership of all instrument-related assets in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You'll ensure the accuracy, creation, modification, and deletion of entries to keep our systems up-to-date and compliant.
  • Compliance & Improvement: Lead efforts to ensure that all instrument assets meet the highest standards of compliance. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects that enhance our operational efficiency and safety.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with both the engineering and operations teams to provide expert advice on instrumentation systems. Your role will involve interfacing with these teams to support ongoing manufacturing and operational activities, ensuring seamless integration and performance.


What We're Looking For:

  • Educational Background: HNC (or equivalent) in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a 24/7 high-hazard COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) industrial environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, with a track record of managing and optimizing these systems in a high-stakes setting.
  • Operational Insight: Hands-on experience working at the engineering and operational interface, ideally within a manufacturing or similar environment.
