Job Title: Quality Inspector

Purpose of job:
The Inspection department is responsible for the inspection of products to ensure conformity to the appropriate required specifications. This will include inspection at Goods Inwards and internally in-process and final, production and maintenance of relevant documentation, liaison with internal teams and external client personnel and support of the company's Continuous Improvement Plan.
Responsibilities:
- Work to the required standards to support a Right First Time approach
- Inspection using appropriate calibrated metrology and inspection equipment
- In-process inspection including First-Article
- Final inspection of supplied goods prior to release
- Production and maintenance of required documentation including product records
- Identification and disposition of non-conforming products in accordance with procedure
- Liaison with internal functions including supply-chain, manufacturing, design, etc as necessary
- Liaison with external client representatives where required
- Active involvement and support of the company's Continuous Improvement Plan activities and team-building culture.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Apprentice-trained engineer with good working knowledge of Engineering drawings
- Experience and knowledge working with various metrology and inspection equipment
- CSWIP 3.1
- FARO experience advantageous
- A Team attitude capable of working on own initiative
- Computer literate and good communicator
