Support Worker - Barnet

Supporting adults with learning disabilities in a supported living service. Supporting with personal care, daily living skills, activities and medication. 30hrs per week on a rota basis, shift patterns are 07.30-15.00 and 15.00-22.00 or alternatively you can work 07.30-22.00.

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and attributes:

Understand the importance of accurate paperwork
Enthusiastic, kind, honest, trustworthy
Ability to work in pairs or work on their own
Good knowledge of how to support vulnerable clients with care needs
Able to support people to live active, fulfilling lives, ensuring people have fun but also that they complete their everyday household tasks.
Able to chat to people who communicate without speech
Able to support people when they are sad or upset
Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, other professionals, families and the public
Enthusiastic, kind, friendly & honest

You may be working alone as well as part of a team, so will need to be able to use your initiative whilst following guidelines & routines liking a challenge is essential. There will be lots of variety, so your work will not be the same every day!
